MCH Series Centrifugal Pumps

MCH pumps are fabricated from solid plastic material to resist internal or external corrosion. Caster avoids the usage of thin molded or lined pump casing and impeller components. Heavy walled, machined construction provides far greater resistance to permeation and migration of corrosive. Additionally, the strength and thermal stability resists deformation, even in the most severe applications.

Features

  • Exclusive solid machined plastic casings and impeller components for maximum chemical resistance
  • Heavy casing wall thicknesses
  • Withstands external corrosion
  • Integral raised face flanges (no threaded adapters) to ensure zero leakage
  • Oversized, high purity ceramic thrust bearings and shaft
  • Chemically resistant, channelled carbon sleeve bearings
  • Modular impeller allows for modifying performances
  • Compact, high torque magnetic coupling with reduced mass
  • Direct starting motors.

Zero Leakage Flanged Porting
Integral flanged connections ensure a zero leakage pipe system. Threaded thermoplastic connections lack the necessary hardness required for positive sealing; flanged ports are available on all Caster designs.

Typical applications

  • All acids including, sulfuric, HCt, HF, nitric, chlorosulfonic, acetic, etc.
  • Sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite; brominated, chlorinated & fluorinated solutions
  • Corrosive chemicals & blends
  • Ultra-pure liquids
Industries served
Ideally suited to pump corrosive, high purity or hazardous liquids in any industrial field; chemical, pharmaceutical, electronics, metal finishing, petrochemical, paper mills, textile, food processing, sugar plants, dairies, water treatment or any suitable chemical application.

MC-SP Centrifugal Self-Primer Pumps

The same basic features of MCH pumps apply to the MC-SP series design with the addition of a self contained, self-priming pump casing. MC-SP pumps provide smooth continuous leakproof operation where top unloading is specified.

Materials of Construction

  • Pump casings & internal components: PP or PVDF
  • Casing O-ring: EPDM, VITON or FEP
  • Internal bearings: Carbon filled PTFE or CARBON
  • Shaft & thrust bearings: 99.7% pure alumina.
Performance
  • Flow to 250 GPM (60 m3/h)
  • Heads to 130 ft (35 m)
  • System pressure to 8 bar (110 PSI)
  • Maximum Temperatures to: 110 deg C (230 deg F).
Options
  • Externally flushed rear cavity for slurriers
  • Dual containment shell.

MCP Series
Non-Metallic
Centrifugal Designs

Caster MCP series pumps were developed specifically for the safe and reliable handling of corrosive chemicals. Precision hydraulics made by mult-axis CNC milling feature efficiencies and NPSH values which were only possible with alloy pumps. The internal shaft and bearings are oversized and constructed of silicon carbide for high purity and maximum chemical and wear resistance.

High performance, full size impellers provide broad hydraulic coverage.

Standard Features:

  • Built to ISO-2858 - DIN 24256 specifications
  • Exclusive solid machined inner casing provides optimum chemical and temperature resistance
  • Heavy duty iron outer casing withstands nozzle loading and pipe stress
  • Silicon carbide shaft, sleeve and thrust bearings
  • Modular impellers for modifying performances
  • Interchangeable internal magnets for varying torque/HP capability
  • Dual back-pull-out (access hydraulic end or power frame)
  • Rugged dual non-metallic containment sheil
  • High efficiencies with no magnetic losses or heat induction
  • Extensive spare parts interchangeability within each size range
  • Pedestal mounted or close coupled designs.

Materials of Construction
  • Pump casings & internal components: Polypropylene, PVDF or ETFE - FC
  • Casing O-rings (2): EPDM, VITON or FEP
  • Internal bearings: Silicon Carbide
  • Shaft & thrust bearings: Silicon Carbide
  • Magnetic Coupling: Samarium Cobalt.
Performance
  • Flow to 200 m3/h (600 GPM)
  • Heads to 90 m (300 ft)
  • System pressure to 16 BAR (250 PSIG)
  • Maximum Temperature, 150 deg C (300 deg F)
  • Power range of 1.0 to 100 HP
