Level Measurement

Liquid level monitoring and control is an essential component of a fluid management system. Fluid level can be monitored in bulk storage tanks, temporary/day tanks or within a process.  Level measurement instruments can be placed into two broad categories: Those that make CONTACT with the fluid and those that are NON-CONTACT.  Panner Sales offers a variety of technologies in both of these categories.  We also offer panel displays and controllers that accept the input from the level monitoring devices and use it to control pumps, valves or alarms.

Flowline Ultrasonic Level Transmitters

Ultrasonic level technology uses sound waves to echo off the liquid surface and give a continuous output for monitoring or control.  Ultrasonic technology is best applied in areas that do not have vapor layers or an uneven surface.  Ultrasonic transmitters generally have a lower price than radar units and can be catagorized by their range of application. Flowline offers a range of ultrasonics for use on small day tanks,  waste sumps or large bulk storage tanks.

Flowline Non-Intrusive Capacitance Switch

This sensor may be mounted on the outside wall of non-metallic tanks.  It activates when the liquid level in the tank matches the switch placement. The switch output can be connected to PLC's, relay controllers or alarms.

Siemens Radar Level Transmitters

Radar wave transmission is a proven technology for monitoring liquid level. Historically, radar has been used for more difficult applications involving dust, vapors or other difficult environments.  More recently, radar transmitters have been offered at competitive prices and have found much wider application.  The Siemens Probe LR is a 2-wire, loop-powered transmitter with a range up to 66 feet.  It has integral display and is offered at a competitive price for general purpose and hazardous environments.  The Siemens Model LR200 radar level transmitter is a more robust and versatile instrument with more options for process connections and antenna style.

Flowline Smart Trak System

This is a polypropylene track that is suspended into the fluid to be measured.  Individual switches are attached at selected points on the track to give you a signal when liquid level contacts them.  The switch may be selected to match the application and you may choose from buoyancy, ultrasonic or vibration style switch technology.

Flowline Switch Pak System

This is a single point switch which may be mounted vertically or horizontally.  You may select from vibration, ultrasonic or buoyancy technology for the switch.

Flowline Submersible Pressure Transmitter

A pressure transmitter is submerged into the liquid and measures the weight of fluid above it.  This technology is often used in wells, ponds or ground water applications.  The Flowline LD30 series is made of 316SS, is available with a protective cage and can measure up to 30 psi.  Two wire transmitter with 4-20 mA output.

DISPLAYS and CONTROLLERS 

Level switches and transmitters are typically connected to panel displays, relay controllers or PLC's. Panner Sales can supply all of your monitoring and control options.  Each of these devices can be mounted by us into a protective enclosure with alarm lights, horns, touchscreens or valves.

Meter for use in hazardous areas. 5 ½ digit LCD display. Accepts 4-20 mA input.

Level Switch Relay Controller

This controller accepts the input from point level switches and activates relays which may be used for alarms, valves or pumps. 

Multi-Channel Relay Controller

The Flowline "Commander" relay controller can take up to four, 4-20 mA input channels.  It has a graphic backlit LCD display and 6 programmable relay outputs.  This controller an be used for multiple storage tank control, pump control or differential level control.
