Conductivity

Panner Sales carries equipment to measure, monitor and control conductivity in fluids. We sell instrumentation from GF/Signet and Electro-Chemical Devices Inc.  We will work with you to integrate conductivity monitoring and control into your process.

Conductivity is a measure of the ability of a material to convey an electric current. In fluids, the conductivity of a solution increases and decreases with the concentration of ions and hence the concentration of dissolved solids. Conductivity is measured in units of microsiemens or PPM of total dissolved solids (TDS).  We carry CONTACTING style probes to cover a range of values from 0.055 microsiemen to 400,000 microsiemen and NON-CONTACTING toroidal sensors that operate in coating or corrosive environments and cover a measurement range of 50,000 to 1,000,000 microsiemen.

The figure below shows a relationship between conductivity value, type of fluid being measured and the electrode required.
